Almost ten years ago we started with one label and one conviction: recruitment can be more efficient, more transparent and more personal. Today QGROUP is a group with nine labels, offices in Amsterdam and Málaga, and a team that makes a difference every day. In this blog I would like to tell you how that came about, who we are and what we do. In the video below you can see what we stand for.
How it started
In 2017 we founded DIQQ, a recruitment agency focused entirely on IT. We saw how hard it was for organisations to find good IT professionals, and how impersonal the recruitment process often felt for candidates. We wanted to do it differently: close by, honest and fast. By really getting to know candidates and clients, we made matches that lasted.
That approach caught on. And with every client and every placement, we also came to see that organisations need more than IT talent alone.
From one label to a group
Starting from DIQQ, we grew step by step into a group. Each new label came from a concrete demand in the market:
- Qlick, for international IT talent, including arranging residence and work permits.
- Proteqt, specialising in cybersecurity, data and cloud.
- Sqales, for outsourcing sales, from first contact to signed contract.
- QBackoffice, the engine behind our own HR, finance and operations.
- Qompliant, for finance, legal, risk and compliance.
- Qonnections, specialising in HR and marketing.
- Faqtoring, which helps freelancers and SMEs get their invoices paid quickly.
- Qompute, for IT support.
That is how QGROUP came about: one group, with a dedicated specialist for every field. Stronger together.
Who we are
We are a team of sporty, ambitious people who like to keep moving. That is no coincidence: in sport and in our work, it is about the same things. Discipline, teamwork, perseverance and getting a little better every day. You can see that elite-sport mentality in the way we work. Fast, personal and focused on results.
Our head office is at Rokin 46 in Amsterdam, where it all began. From Amsterdam we expanded to Málaga, in Spain. There we are building our team and helping organisations with nearshore IT talent. Two offices, one team.
What we do
We connect people and organisations that want to move forward. For professionals, we are the partner who helps them think about their next step: a permanent job, secondment, freelance assignments, temporary work or Fairshare. For organisations, we find the talent they need, through recruitment and selection, secondment, freelance, temporary staffing and executive search. We also help with sales outsourcing, IT support, factoring and nearshore teams in Spain.
The great thing about a group is that we can oversee the whole process. From the first vacancy to payroll and invoicing. Clients have a single point of contact, and professionals easily manage their hours and contract in QPortal.
Where we stand today
We now work for more than 100 clients, have a network of over 410,000 professionals and are approaching 3,000 placements. And the count keeps going. Behind each of those placements is a story: of a professional who took a step in their career, or of an organisation that was able to grow with the right people.
I am proud of that. Not of the numbers themselves, but of the team that makes them possible every day.

Even after almost ten years, we are not standing still. We keep innovating, keep investing in our team and keep looking for better ways to connect people and organisations.
